15 Feb Hiring Scaffolding
I’ve decided to use a secret Facebook group to try and aid the sharing of important information between the architect, the draughtsman and (when we get there) the builders. The front of the house we bought is covered in horrible 80s stone cladding. It has to go. The house is the only one in a small terrace that has stone cladding. Yuk. Let’s return it to it to something like its former glory. Never having needed any scaffolding before I am embarking upon this task with an open mind. It has never occurred to me that scaffolders are so insanely busy and that getting a quotation visit and a time for it to go up is like prising a Curly Wurly from the clammy grasp of a determined five year old. I think we might have found our guys although I’m sure there are some wrinkles I am missing.
